About the Role

As a member of the Procurement Team, you will play key role in building AIRX’s business across the world. You will solve the procurement & supply chain challenges in network and hardware sourcing and automation. You will directly interact with AIRX’s teams and suppliers across the globe, to deliver the best supply chain to grow AIRX in being “Global Network Provider”!!!

To meet these challenges, we are looking for a passionate, talented and super-smart Carrier Relations Manager who loves to work across (a) Supplier Management, (b) Contract Management, and (c) Procurement and Automation Strategy. We are looking for someone who innovates, loves solving hard problems and never takes a NO for an answer. We are looking for a candidate in the industry, who likes to work hard, have fun and make history.

Key Responsibilities

The duties and responsibilities for the Carrier Relations Manager include, but are not limited to, the following listed items,

Supplier/Carrier Relations Management – 

1. Responsible for the relationship with existing Suppliers and develop closer relations through regular meetings.
2. Responsible for identifying new suppliers in local market and manage onboarding & their due diligence process.
3. Manage and monitor suppliers spends.
4. Keep up to date the Supplier Information and documentation such as their products, coverage, contracts (MSA, NDA etc), escalation matrix and contact details.
5. Handle escalations from Presales, Finance and Operations for issues related to suppliers.

Contract Management – 

1. Manage and negotiate supplier contracts such as MSA, SLA, Service Orders, pricing, and NDA.
2. Keep track of the regulatory requirement in each local market.
 
Procurement – 

1. Managing procurement of Network Connectivity, Hardware and Professional Services.
2. Formulate the sourcing strategy to enhance the pricing competitiveness, service coverage and commercial terms.
3. Negotiate and gather cost from the suppliers for assigned customer’s projects. 

Supply Chain Automation Strategy – 

1. Support and implement company’s supply chain automation strategy.
2. Manage and maintain supplier’s API, Price book, lit building list and tools.
3. Perform other duties as identified and assigned.

Requirements

Who we are looking for? 

1. Highly organized, proactive and able to function in a fast-moving environment.

2. Should have a proven track record and 3+ years of relevant experience in the international telecommunications industry. 

3. Bachelor’s in Engineering degree preferred.

4. Working knowledge of Salesforce and MS Office preferred.

5. Highly personable, able to influence and positively motivate third party providers and other team members.

6. Good interpersonal skills in dealing both with suppliers and with sales.

7. Project Management experience a plus.

 

Essential skills

1. 3-5 years of experience as Supplier Manager, Carrier Relations or Vendor Manager role.

2. Strong techno-commercial background in local access technologies, WAN/SD-WAN, managed service, either as a procurement/carrier relations or supplier manager.

3. Knowledge and understanding of Transmission networks and technologies (Fibre optics, Colocation, SDH, Wavelength, Ethernet, xDSL, 4G/5G, VSAT etc.).

4. Understanding the basics of pricing strategy with local access providers/suppliers.

5. Knowledge and understanding of different types of common WAN connections.

6. Excellent communications, interpersonal, influencing, and problem-solving skills are essential.

7. Language required: English (must), any other language is a plus.
